GraceFull

Haldor Lillenas with Renee Adele Phillips

Wonderful grace of Jesus, greater than all my sin;
All my sin?  There has been so much—yet You are greater.
How shall my tongue describe it?  Where shall its praise begin?
There aren’t enough words to speak of Your grace to me:
Taking away my burden, setting my spirit free;
I remember my surrender, the unburdening, the deep breath
For the wonderful grace of Jesus reaches me.
when You broke through the darkness; Your love reached me.

Wonderful the matchless grace of Jesus,
Matchless—there will never be grace that compares to Yours.
Deeper than the mighty rolling sea;
I’ve seen the depths of the sea and stood on the heights of mountains;
Higher than the mountain, sparkling like a fountain,
Your grace is deeper and higher still.
All-sufficient grace for even me!
I believed it was for others—yet You showered it on me,
Broader than the scope of my transgressions,
Covering the ruin of my mistakes and missteps.
Greater far than all my sin and shame;
Your grace is broader, deeper, higher, greater
Oh, magnify the precious Name of Jesus!  Praise His Name!
How could I not fall to my knees in gratitude for Your grace?

Wonderful grace of Jesus, reaching to all the lost,
You found me when I couldn’t even find myself
By it I have been pardoned, saved to the uttermost;
and forgave me, saved me, redeemed me, released me:
Chains have been torn asunder, giving me liberty;
I had no idea that freedom felt like love
For the wonderful grace of Jesus reaches me.
and grace felt like beauty.  Your sacrifice overwhelms me;
May the sacrifice of my life in every way serve You.
